I have been a teaching professional since I was 16 as a professional ski & snowboard instructor. I transferred into teaching my true passion, golf, in 1999. My husband, Bill Kolenda & I own Golden Sands Golf Course & Bucket Bar. We have 4 kids and all enjoy our family time golfing, skiing, and playing on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes!
I have developed my golf program for all levels of the game. I strive to focus on building skills in each athlete based on where they are at in their game. I also hope to encourage all to find the fun in this life long sport.
We invite you all to come and enjoy watching a match sometime! The Pentwater Varsity Golf Team is Awesome to cheer on as we drive our way to Regionals again this year! Sending you a Slice of Sunshine!
Coach: Rick Magrath
Hello, My name is Rick Magrath, and I’ve been Pentwater’s Varsity Baseball Coach since 2005. I am passionate about the sport, and it is a joy to teach the game of baseball, America’s Pastime, to our students. Baseball is a game which involves both athletic and mental skills. To be able to field or hit a baseball requires good hand-eye coordination and a lot of practice, and then to know what to do on the field in any given moment, a split-second decision takes the sport to an entirely different level of concentration, knowledge, and repetition. To watch a team come together, develop, and improve over a season, and then over a series of seasons, is thrilling! Over the past ten years, we have won one WMD Conference Title and one District Championship. In addition, I was excited to win victory number 100 in 2016. Prior to baseball, I also coached JV basketball for five years and elementary and junior high boys basketball.
Coach: Erika Fatura
Athletics have been a lifelong passion of mine. In high school, I participated in basketball, volleyball, and track. I have been coaching on and off for the past 14 years. While I have coached a variety of sports, most of my experience is in coaching track and field. This is my fifth year as the varsity track and field coach. As a teacher in the district, coaching allows me to connect with students outside of the classroom. My goal for athletes is for them to experience the many benefits of being physically active and the excitement of being a part of a team. I am thankful for my supporting family including my husband Derek, son Logan and daughter Allie. I am looking forward to a track and field season full of fun, personal bests and a new appreciation for the sport.
Coaches: Stephen Rossiter & Ashley Wojtas
Hello, my name is Stephen Rossiter and I am the technology director for Pentwater Public Schools. I am excited to say that this will be my first year coaching, and I am happy and honored that I will be co-coaching varsity softball this spring with Ms. Wojtas. I have always had a love for the game of baseball, and was a 4-year varsity player at Hart Public Schools. When baseball was over I transitioned to slow pitch softball, which I have enjoyed playing for the last 15 years. I am very excited for this upcoming season because it is the first season in a few years that softball has been offered at Pentwater. I know that with hard work and determination we can build a successful program. Ahead of time I just want to thank my wife for allowing me the time away from our daughter to help, and my parents for picking up my daughter from daycare and entertaining her while I am at an open gym, practice, or a game. I also want to thank Ms. Wojtas for getting me involved with this program.
This will be my 1st year co-coaching Varsity Girls Softball here at Pentwater Public Schools. Coupled with my passion for sports is education. I have a major in Elementary Education and double minored in Mathematics and Integrated Sciences. I am currently the 4th-grade teacher for Pentwater Public Schools and I teach 3rd grade in a Summer Migrant Program during the summer in Kent City!
Coach Rossiter and I are passionate about starting a softball program and creating interest in the game. With our combined knowledge of the game and experience as baseball and softball players, we intend on producing quality athletes that are knowledgeable about the game. I look forward to a great season!
Junior High Track

This is my fourth year coaching middle school track for Pentwater. I have previous experience coaching middle school track and competed in High School. I was a sprinter in High School but picked up a passion for longer mileage having run two marathons, 8 half marathons, and countless 5ks. I currently coach Varsity volleyball and middle school basketball for Pentwater. I also coach classes at Ludington CrossFit, Ludington Spin and Yoga, and wait tables at Jamesport Brewing Company. In my spare time, I enjoy lifting weights, running, and spending time with my daughter Chloe and husband Chad.
