What a Festival performance it was this year! The Pentwater Schools' Concert Band received an overall division 2 rating which is an incredible accomplishment. This year, we combined our middle school and high school bands for the first time. It was over 80% of the students (both in middle and high school) performing for the first time together on an auditorium stage and they handled it with such grace. Three years ago, we took a total of eleven students to festival. This year, we took 31, I am so excited for the years ahead! All students have shown incredible growth in musicianship and I (Mr. Rodriguez) am very proud to be their Band Director! Well done!

A Season to Remember – Falcons’ Incredible Run Comes to an End What an unforgettable season filled with hard-fought battles, incredible memories, and a legacy that will inspire future Falcons for years to come. While tonight’s regional loss may sting, it does not define this team or the journey they have taken together. The Falcons left everything on the court, playing with heart, determination, and relentless effort—just as they have all season. The game was a challenge from the start, with the opponent’s quickness and offensive attack making it difficult for the Falcons to gain momentum in the second half. Despite their best efforts, the final moments came too soon for a full recovery. But effort was never in question, and for that, every player should walk away proud of all they have accomplished. Key Player Performances: Jonny Arnouts: 5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist Trey Johnson: 11 points, 2 rebounds, 4 steals Kaleb Brown: 4 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals Brody Austin: 5 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal Abram Kieda: 8 points, 4 rebounds Nathan Macher: 3 rebounds Mikey Calrson: 30 points, 13 rebounds The Falcons finish the season with an outstanding 21-3 record and a dominant 13-1 conference finish. More importantly, they built a foundation, created lifelong bonds, and inspired the next generation of Falcons. To our seniors—thank you. Your leadership, passion, and dedication have left a lasting mark on this program. While this chapter may have come to an end, your impact will be felt for years to come. With our chins held high and our hearts full of gratitude, we look forward to the future—knowing that this is just the beginning of something special. Forever grateful. 🏀💙 Go Falcons!

We had a great kick-off to March is Reading Month! Our theme this year is: Camp Read S'more. Students heard about the incentives for working hard all month long and the entertainment that will come at the end of the month at our assembly. Two games were played at our opener. One was a race with a marshmallow on a spoon. Next, students had to take off one shoe and race to find it in a pile, put their shoe on and race back to their group. The contagious laughter was wonderful. We are looking forward to a fun-filled month of reading s'more. Parents, we encourage you to have some fun reading with your children. For instance; build a fort and read with a flashlight. Happy reading!

Green Schools Club members, Lauren Davis and Maggie Jorissen, presented our librarian Mrs. Quinn with some new books to add to our library. One of the projects the club works on is to earn Evergreen status through the Michigan Green Schools program and to update the schools' media center with environmental materials. Thank you to the PTCO for providing the funding to make this project a success.
