The 4th grade class took a field trip to The Painted Frog Art Studio in downtown Pentwater on Friday, 10/13. Local artist, Michele Anscombe, assisted the class in creating Michigan turtle replicas with a little bit of creative art! The class also completed research projects, created a turtle display and will be presenting their research information to the class. Well done, 4th grade students!










Due to our varsity boys soccer team winning in district tournament play, we have rescheduled the "Blocking" Cancer for "Charity" event for Monday, 10/23/23, at 5pm! Come on out and have a great time as our staff "team" takes on the varsity volleyball ladies to raise money for cancer support!


It's Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch time at Pentwater Public Schools; we are joining early care centers, colleges, hospitals and other organizations across the Great Lakes region states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa and Ohio in the eighth annual Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch. Participants celebrate National Farm to School Month and local farmers by crunching into Rennhack Orchard apples at 2:30pm local time on Thursday, 10/12! This collective crunch encourages healthy eating and supports farm to school and local food initiatives throughout the Great Lakes region. The goal is to reach 1.2 million crunches, and you can join us at home by eating an apple at 2:30pm!

Red Ribbon Week is the nation's largest and longest running drug-use prevention campaign. We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of Oct. 23-Oct. 27! Dress up days are as follows: Monday, 10/23 - "Follow your dreams, don't use drugs!" (Wear pajamas); Tuesday, 10/24 - "Ready to live a drug free life!" (Wear red); Wednesday, 10/25 - "Black out drugs!" (Wear black); Thursday, 10/26 - "Put a cap on drugs!" (Wear hats); and, Friday, 10/27 - "I am a JEAN-ius, I'm drug free!" (Wear jeans)

Are you looking for that perfect Christmas gift? Our annual Pentwater Band Holiday Craft Fair is Saturday, 12/2/23, from 9am-3pm at the school!


We invite everyone to our "Blocking" Cancer for "Charity" event on Tuesday, 10/17, at 5pm! This is going to be a great event with the volleyball team taking on the staff to raise money for cancer support in our area! Cost is $3 at the gate and there will be open concessions and a 50/50 raffle. Let's "Green" out the evening by wearing tons of green!


GHSP in Hart in sponsoring a Feeding America Food Truck Event in partnership with United Way of the Lakeshore. The event will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 5pm. Food will be distributed in the GHSP parking lot at 1500 Industrial Park Drive, Hart. The event is not income based and anyone that comes will receive a portion of the food.


3rd and 4th graders had a great day of learning. They attended History in Action Days at White Pine Village. The Village features the Blacksmith Shop,
General Store, Trapper’s Cabin, Courthouse, One Room School, Time Museum, Hardware Store, Farmhouse, Jorissen Barn, Lumber Museum, Sawmill, Print Shop, Museum of Music, Chapel and more. What an amazing educational experience!

The Pentwater Varsity Boy's Soccer team will be playing in District Quarterfinals on Wednesday, October 11th at 5 p.m. in Lakeview. The Falcons will be taking on the Lakeview Wildcats. Thank you to everyone that came out for the NHS sponsored Red Cross Blood Drive today! With your help we were able to collect 28 units of blood to help lessen the national blood shortage. And who better to help than the Army National Guard? Thank you for your service!

Muskegon Community College is hosting a college fair on Monday, October 9, from 6pm-7pm. Over 45 colleges, military or trade schools have registered to attend. This will be a StriveScan event. Students are encouraged to register for a barcode before the fair at www.strivefair.com. During the fair, colleges will scan barcodes and send them more information about their schools.
