Muskegon Community College is hosting a college fair on Monday, October 9, from 6pm-7pm. Over 45 colleges, military or trade schools have registered to attend. This will be a StriveScan event. Students are encouraged to register for a barcode before the fair at www.strivefair.com. During the fair, colleges will scan barcodes and send them more information about their schools.

This morning, Matt Raab, who is a representative from Meyer Music, visited our high school percussionists for a clinic on technique as well as getting some tips and tricks on their music for their upcoming October 26th concert. They really appreciated all of his helpful feedback and had a great time learning.

Our 2nd graders enjoyed a beautiful morning at J&H Fleming Farms apple orchard and cider plant. They learned about the process of making apple cider, how the apple trees grow and change, and made fun memories. The best was picking apples and drinking cider!!
Leona Ashley from Corewell Health taught a Win With Wellness lesson to our elementary students. They were reminded of good hygiene habits, including washing hands to keep from spreading germs
We will be recognizing our fall sports athletes on Thursday, 11/9/23, at 6:45pm in the small gymnasium! We will be recognizing those JV and Varsity athletes in cross country, boys soccer and volleyball!

District Health Department #10 will be offering a Covid-19 booster and flu shot clinic at Pentwater Public Schools on Friday, 10/13/23, from 2:30pm-4:30pm

Announcement: Walkerville Schools has had to cancel the JH volleyball match scheduled with Pentwater for Thursday, 9/14/23. The varsity volleyball game, however, is a go and will begin at 6pm at Walkerville!

We thank United Way of the Lakeshore for sponsoring the Oceana County 'Stuff the Bus' collection drive for 2023! All school supplies collected in Oceana locations were delivered to public schools in Oceana County. This year, they asked for teacher nominations from the classrooms and the teacher nominees were selected by a volunteer committee and the favorite teachers selected received classroom supplies. Congratulations to Mrs. Heidi Fleming, 2nd grade teacher, who was selected for Pentwater Public Schools! Mrs. Fleming is pictured with Dr. Scott Karaptian as well as Barbara Saunders Sims, Oceana County Director and Mr. JJ Lewis, Chief Development Officer, United Way of the Lakeshore!
